On Thursday the third, I asked my friend and fellow plant-lover, Zoe, to drive me to my doctor’s appointment ( I adamantly refuse to go alone these days). When she arrived, I was still opening the farmstand, arranging beet greens, jars of lard and colorfully painted signs, displaying our wares - and our farm - as clearly the most attractive on our road. Later that day, she texted me with a surprise collection of photos and quotes from the few moments we spent setting up. I found it cute and hilarious enough to want to share with you: sometimes, the farm is just a silly place.
So this is the conversation we had, with images included in an accurate timeline:
ZOE: “This is sooooooo cute!”
KIA: “Oh hey, can you take some pictures and post them on your Facebook?”
ZOE: “Oh hey, yeah!”
ZOE, TAKING PICTURES: “Wait no, stay in there!”
KIA: “Not wearing this!”
KIA: “Okay, that’s better, but I don’t know how to do this…”
ZOE: “Just lean up against something!”
KIA: “Lean up against something? Just…lean up against something? Like, what?”
ZOE: “I dunno, the doorframe!”
KIA: “Oohhhkaaaayyyy, just…” *casually leans up against the doorframe…*
ZOE: “Yup, just like that.”
ZOE: “That’s the one!”
KIA: “That was sooo awkward, okay, let’s go.”
Hoping you find some silly moments this month,

I saw the final pictures on Facebook but this behind-the-scenes detail is so fun! Thanks for sharing. Zoe is a great friend! 💜
Love this! You truly do take a great photo! You need to use the one where your leaning against the door frame!
